A couple of years ago I took a flower-arranging workshop at @pisarcik_flower_farm. We had the opportunity to wander around their zinnia and marigold fields at dusk, which was absolutely magical. This painting was inspired by that evening. A perfect way to say goodbye to summer.
My heart is slowly turning toward fall with this palette. Oh, the beauty of the in-between time.
This painting is an original, beautifully textured soft pastel created on archival sanded paper to hold the crystals of luminous pigment in place.
